After praying about how to use our graduate degrees in Music and Science for 4 years we received invitations to participate in the Centenary Jaki Congress on Science and Christian Faith in Madrid 2024. What an opportunity to interact with those who have been encumbered with secular thought! Not only did they invite me as a scientist, who can speak to the mind, they invited Nicole, my wife, who with her music speaks to the heart. And the conference so valued our input they pitched in for 1/3 the housing and flights and they will have a unique opportunity to see an evangelical family at work on a Catholic, mostly secular campus. Evangelical Christians still make up less than 2 percent of Spain's population, with two-thirds of them being immigrants according to the latest from Operation Mobilization.

We enter the world of doubt with the light of gospel through science and music. Not only will Neal and Nicole be setting an example of God’s grace and mercy, but our daughters who have a heart for service will accompany Nicole as she brings joy to the hearts of the attendees through her talk and presenting her music interspersed with the Psalms that Jaki wrote on and a favorite hymn of his "Amazing Grace." The Doran’s are pleased to enter the Catholic and secular world as they allow God to touch the heart of the conference attendees and explore the topic of Amazing Grace and true conversion and miracle.
